Mission Statement:

The mission of Sunset Primary PTA is to make every child’s potential a reality by amplifying the amazing volunteer power of families at our school.  Our vision is to create meaningful impact for all students and staff to strengthen our community.

What does the Sunset Primary PTA do?

Our PTA raises funds throughout the year to help support the needs of the staff and students. We have been able to pay for things such as online subscriptions to educational programs, student field trips, and classroom supplies. For example, just recently, we were able to purchase skeletal system books for the entire third grade!  Books which will be used for years and years to come--all thanks to YOU!  In addition, we raise money for various school and community activities; One School, One Book, Fall Festival, Multicultural night, Field Day, family movie nights, dances, and teacher appreciation week. 

This year's budget was $11,000 (!) thanks to the engagement from our families year after year.

Our Goal For the Year:

We are carrying over our goals from last year into this year. Our vision is to continue to work on creating an environment where everyone knows they’re welcome. Two of the things we have really strived for is increased engagement from our families, and inclusion for all. You will see us reaching out in a variety of ways this year so we can be certain that we are touching base with you in a way that is convenient for YOU. Our hope is that this will also make it easier for you to be engaged with our team and our school.   That being said, we are always in need of volunteers! Participation is key in being successful each year. Aside from gaining personal satisfaction and joy from helping your tigers school succeed, you also get discounts at various businesses.
